three parents may seem bad
but imagine being without
one dad
as many children do
instead of one you have two
a mother who loves you
who likes to take your photographs
and give you fun a lot of laughs
so if she seems eccentric
or a bit strange
for some children
having a mom is out of range
misfits as we are
we are all you have and need
so do your homework
and do a good deed
be kind to all you meet
and never bow down to defeat.
Your dad Bill may be black
but he’s always
got your back
when he tries to boss you around
remember hes a director
who likes to expound
on his verse and philosophy
but his blood runs deep throughout history.
You can count on him
to teach you to watch your dough
he will ask you where your pennies go.
